Greetings everyone!

I just wanted to give a quick update about some of the things going on with our API the past week.

We've been undergoing some major infrastructure upgrades/improvements, including changes to our back-end database systems that should allow us to have even greater scalability and better performance when serving your requests.

With that said -- there is a chance that some things could have been broken in the process that we may not have caught. We've already identified a few APIs that have needed a few fixes and tweaks to ensure they run optimally.

If you happen to notice anything not working as you'd expect, please start a new post on the forums here, or send me a PM at your convenience.

Thank you guys for your continued patience, and happy coding!

"The Island" video title search returns the WRONG results along with any searches starting with "The"... this has been reported already in the forums but no fix for the last ~5 months.

Isn't it common to search titles with "The" at the start? Searching for just "island" will give way too many results.

Sorry, I hate send requests via the wrong channel but I couldn't find a more appropriate place. Because your working on the database I'm wondering... It seems that if I do a Pin Point search using a video AMG Id the actor ids and director ids are your own ids, and not AMD Ids. What I was hoping to find was an easy way to get the AMG cast and crew Ids for each person involved in a given title. I know you have a relationship between these because there is another API that allows you to get all films for a given actor via the actor's AMG Id. So,... My question is is there an API (or a string of API's that I can run in sequence) to get this information? For example if I grab the movie XML using pinpoint, parse out each actor, and then send your actor id back to you through some other API, can I get the AMG Id for that actor?

Let me know, Ok?

Thanks

Peter
